Boston, May 25—Rachel Brown will file her nomination papers on Thursday, May 27, at 10:30am with the Secretary of the Commonwealth, to be placed on the Democratic Party primary ballot, as a candidate for the Fourth Congressional District, for the September 14, 2010 primary. Below is her official statement of candidacy. “On behalf of the more than 4,000 registered Democratic Party and independent voters who signed my nomination papers, and the more than 600,000 citizens who live in the 4th Congressional District, who presently are misrepresented by their Congressman, Bailout Barney Frank, I am officially declaring my candidacy for the U.S. Congress.

“When I announced my intention to run for Congress at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on January 12, I made it clear that the main issue in the race would be Rep. Frank's role as a wholly-owned operative of the Wall Street and City of London banks, and their Boston-based `Vault' colleagues. His actions, from July 2007 up to that time, during which he served as a point-man in Congress for those interests, through his position as Chairman of the House Financial Services committee, verged on treason, as he put the interests of foreign financial speculators ahead of those of the American people.

“He richly deserves the name `Bailout Barney,' for the leading role he has played in every bailout of speculators— from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to TARP. Instead of prosecuting the swindlers at Goldman Sachs, AIG and the other thieving institutions, through a Pecora Commission-type investigation, as Lyndon LaRouche and I have advocated, Barney has conspired with Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke of the Federal Reserve, Bush and Cheney, and then with President Obama and Geithner, to give them more than $24 trillion in bailouts—and the financial institutions are still not making loans, because the system is bankrupt!

“This last week, he has been at it again, this time collaborating with the disgraced, retiring Senator Dodd from Connecticut, to pass a so-called financial regulatory reform bill which PROTECTS the same swindlers who are receiving the bailouts. In fact, Dodd, in league with Harry Reid and Obama, refused to even allow consideration of an amendment introduced by Senators Cantwell and McCain, which would have reinstated the Glass-Steagall bill, which was passed during the first days of the Franklin Roosevelt administration, and effectively regulated the financial sector of our nation for nearly 70 years, until it was repealed in 1999. Its repeal was key to creating the speculative bubble which popped in 2007, collapsing the entire global financial system.

“As a result of the treachery of Barney, and his collaborators such as Dodd, Reid and Speaker Pelosi, there is a growing mass strike in the U.S., which is already taking the scalps of incumbents in both parties. Sen. Bennett, a Republican from Utah, Rep. Mollohan, a Democrat from West Virginia, and the just-trounced Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, can attest to the anger of voters, who feel betrayed by the decision of these Congressmen to throw trillions of dollars to corrupt speculators, to bail them out, while imposing brutal, Hitler-like austerity on the millions of Americans suffering from unemployment, foreclosure, and attacks on the social safety net.

“The voters of Massachusetts are likewise up in arms over the betrayal by Scott Brown, who claimed he was against the bailout when he ran for the Senate, but crawled to Barney Frank, to gain assurance that bankrupt Boston-based banks, tied to the British crown, would continue to be protected by the Dodd bill. After being given that assurance, he voted with Obama and Dodd, and against the American people!

“I will use my campaign to rally patriots to complete the job, of not just 'throwing the bums out,' but to bring back solutions modeled on those first introduced to our nation by the Massachusetts Bay Colony, by the Winthrops, the Mathers, Ben Franklin, John Adams, and his son, John Quincy Adams. These solutions include a return to Glass- Steagall principles, as well as national banking, with large infusions of credit to rebuild infrastructure and our industrial capacity, and fully fund a NASA mission to colonize Mars.

“In the process, I will escalate the drive to impeach President Obama, who is a slavish puppet of the British financial interests tied to the British monarchy.

“Our cause is just, and the time is ripe. Traitors beware—the tradition of the American Revolution is alive, and we will not tolerate treason in this region, where the seeds of liberty were first planted!”
