Passing the Glass-Steagall is An Existential Issue for Civilization
May 14, 2010 -- The McCain-Cantwell Glass-Steagall amendment has been moved up to be debated today in the Senate Chamber, voting will resume Monday. This means we have this weekend to mobilize for the passage of this amendment, which will force a bankruptcy process of the entire United States financial system. If passed in the US, this will set the tone for the rest of the world to follow suit. The reversal of the collapse of the entire world's economy depends upon first canceling the mountains of worthless “assets,” to set a clear statement of intention, and to clear the way for credit to be issued for physically productive measures. Therefore, the passage of this amendment is an existential issue for civilization.
Put your all into this. Call your senators today, and mobilize everyone you know to do the same. The future will thank you for it.
