Boston Infrastructure Breakdown Shows Why Obama and Barney Frank Must Go

May 3, 2010 -- Rachel Brown issued the following statement today:

"The water emergency unfolding in Boston, in which nearly two million people have been cut off from the delivery of clean water, into their homes and businesses, makes clear what Lyndon LaRouche has been saying: That if we don't impeach Barack Obama at once, and throw out the gang in Congress, in both parties, which refuses to shut down the corrupt City of London and Wall Street financial cartels whose dirty work they are doing, you and your family will not survive.

"This is no exaggeration. The water emergency, the constant breakdown of the city's rail system, the collapse of the Big Dig, all point to a principle of real economics, which is that the failure to replace and upgrade physical infrastructure, threatens the lives of people who depend on the functioning of that infrastructure. For fifty years, or more, we have neglected investment in basic infrastructure -- think about the disastrous effects of the failure of flood management during Hurricane Katrina, a bridge collapsing in Minnesota, the string of crises here, in Boston. The minimal expenditures to maintain or supplement aging infrastructure, cut due to austerity measures imposed by the banks on state and local government, are totally inadequate, at times fatally so!

"It is criminal for the President to hide behind a `deficit reduction' panel, whether for cutting Medicare, or the overall budget, when it is provable that the cuts being pushed will lead to a rapid increase in the death rate. It is criminally immoral for the President to act, with the full support of my opponent, Bailout Barney Frank, to continue to bailout Goldman Sachs and other banks `too big to fail,' and to protect thieving hedge funds and private equity funds, with phony `regulatory reform,' when millions are losing homes, are permanently unemployed, are being denied necessary medical care, and are losing hope.

"Have we learned nothing from the 1930s, when British bankers put Hitler in office, to squeeze income out of the hides of human beings, to know that what begins as austerity for `deficit reduction,' for the sake of debt repayment, ends up in fascist genocide, through the planned slaughter of `useless eaters'?

"There are solutions, starting with real regulatory reform, as in LaRouche's Global Glass Steagall, and the mobilization of federal credit, to create millions of jobs in real, productive, physical infrastructure development. LaRouche will present this, in a webcast this Saturday, May 8, at 1 PM EDT, at www.larouchepac.com . For the sake of you and future generations, I strongly suggest you listen to Mr. LaRouche."

"If you want to know what it is going to take for you and your family to survive, I suggest you listen to LaRouche.
